Congratulations to senior Christian Hericks for winning the 2010 Impressions Awards Student Decorating Competition. His design was awarded “Grand Champion” in the competition this year, and the school was awarded a Direct to Garment Printer valued at $20,000, and a $9,000 clipart collection. The WHS Entertainers and Encore choirs traveled to Santa Clara and San Francisco over the March 25-28^th weekend. This performance/competition tour included four festivals (2 for each choir) in which each choir received the highest gold ratings from the Heritage Festival Association who adjudicated these events. The WHS Entertainers received high enough scores (out of 100 points on one of their gold awards) to be invited to perform in one of the FESTIVAL OF GOLD events hosted at a venue of choice in San Francisco, Chicago, New York (Carnegie Hall) and Orange County (Segerstrom Hall) during the 2010-2011 school year.
